Set up a URL alias

A URL alias is an alternative path to a page or document. For example if your contact page is available at www.example.com/contact you may also want it to be available from www.example.com/enquiries.

Setting or updating aliases is restricted to users who are members of the Alias administrators group, you will not see the Alias container if you are not a member of the group.

  1. With a page open in the editor, press the Properties tab.
  2. Find and expand the Aliases container.
  3. Type in an alias into the input box and press Add. This will then create the alias for the page.

Once the content has been submitted and approved, the URL alias will become active.
