Desktop tool system tray icon

The system tray icon is your gateway to all the features the Desktop Tool gives you. This article gives you an broad overview of what is included. To access these feature simply right click on the system tray icon.

Open Contensis folder

This option is available if you have a license for Contensis WebDAV, it acts as a shortcut to your Contensis drive.

Launch Contensis

Clicking this option will automatically open your default web browser and direct you to your Contensis installation.

Contensis quick links

The quick linking system includes Content checked out to me, Content I have edited recently and Content I frequently edit. Each of these options are parents to sub menus which contain the associated content items. Clicking on a content item will automatically open a new browser window/tab and direct you to the page within Contensis.

Contensis Quick Reports

Quick reports are designed to show you items such as pages awaiting approval and comments awaiting approval. Clicking these links will launch a report showing all of the pages/comments which you can then approve.


The preferences area is where you define connections, configure notifications and alter settings.


The help link will point you through to ZenHub.


The exit link closes the Desktop Tool. You can reopen the Desktop Tool from your programs menu.
