Shadow copies

This article will show you how to create an exact duplicate of a page that cannot be edited. This could be useful if you want to keep sole control of the body text of a page that is used in many areas of a large website, for example.

Editing and republishing the original page will update all shadow copies and deleting the original page will delete all dependent shadow copies.

1. Bring up the context menu by either left or right clicking on the folder name, select Copy.
2. Click the checkbox Create a shadow copy.
3. Browse to the folder in which you want the shadow copy to appear, click save.
4. Rename the file and click save.

Note: A template must be assigned to the destination folder and the user creating the shadow copy will need template permissions set for the destination folder.
