Create a structured content template

A structured content template can be used with Contensis module associations to control the input of content for specific pages such as blog, events or FAQ. This article shows you the basics of how to create a structured content template for use with modules.

  1. Right click to Edit the template you wish to be setup as a structured content template. Press the Properties tab.
  2. Under the Template Type section of the Properties section, you will see a type dropdown. By default it will be set to Standard Template. This needs to be changed to Structured Content Template.
  3. Select the module association the template will use, for example Committee, News or Blog (only modules that are part of your Contensis license will display). Click Save and then Submit and Approve.
  4. You'll need to assign your template to the folder where you want editors to add structured content to your site.

You will also need to add the correct web control to display the structured content on your site. We recommend adding this control within a sub template. Please refer to the setup and configuration documentation for the module you want to use for more details about customising web control settings.
