Create a web page

This article will take you through the short process of how to create a web page within Contensis. We assume you have created a project and have the relevant content types and templates assigned to the folders where you want to create web pages.

  1. From the dashboard press the New Page button in the I Want To... section.
  2. The Create New Content window will appear. Start typing the name of the folder you want to create a page in to bring up a filtered list, click on the folder name.
  3. The Create New Content in folder window will appear. Start typing the content type you want to create to bring up a filtered list, click on the content type. Or drag and drop files to upload in the dotted area.
  4. The wysiwyg page editor will appear. Here you can edit your new page, give it name and use the metadata and properties tab to add further detail to the page. Click Save.

Alternatively if you have the navigator open and know which folder you want to create a page in you can:

  1. Bring up the context menu by clicking on the folder name. Select the New Content option. 
  2. The Create New Content window will appear. Start typing the name of the folder you want to create a page in to bring up a filtered list, click on the folder name.
  3. The Create New Content in folder window will appear. Start typing the content type you want to create to bring up a filtered list, click on the content type. Or drag and drop files to upload in the dotted area. 
  4. The wysiwyg page editor will appear. Here you can edit your new page, give it name and use the metadata and properties tab to add further detail to the page. Click Save.
