Assign templates to folders

Once you have created your templates you need to Submit & Approve them so you can assign them to the folders you intend to create pages inside. Before content can be created based on a page template, it is necessary to assign the page template to the folder where pages will be created. This is useful for very large websites, and allows certain types of pages to be created in only certain folders.

Follow the steps below to assign the Home template to your root folder.

  1. Bring up the context menu and click through to the Properties window.
  2. Navigate to the Templates tab and click on Add Templates. A window will appear.
  3. This window will display all templates available to you to assign to the folder. Find your Home template and click Save.
  4. The Home template will now be assigned to the root folder. Every folder you create in this folder will inherit the Home template.

You will now be able to create web pages in the root folder using your home template.
