Favourites listing control

The Favourites Listing control is provided to display to a registered user of a website or intranet what pages, contacts and documents they have favourited.

  1. Right click in the editor window of the page you want to web control to appear in
  2. Select Insert Webcontrol, then Favourites and Favourites Listing.
  3. The editor will open allowing you to set the options for this listing control.

You have control over what options should be displayed between Pages, Documents and Contacts tabs. For more customisation and details of the other settings within this web control, you can refer to our common web control settings list.

Show Pages

Enabling this option will show pages in the listing.

Show Page Description

This option will display the description for the page if it has one.

Show Page Author

This option will display the author of the page.

Show Created Date

This option will display the date the page was first created.

Show Documents

Enabling this option will show documents in the listing as well.

Show Document File Size

This option shows the document file size in the listing.

Show Contacts

Enabling this option will show contacts in the listing.

Show Contacts Mobile

This option shows the contacts mobile telephone number in the listing.

Show Contacts Telephone

This option shows the contacts telephone number in the listing.

Show Contacts Email

This option will show the contacts email address in the listing.

Who's Who Page

This option allows you to select the who's who record page that contact names will link to.


Choose from two options, tabbed and listing. In tabbed view the listing will be in three sections controlled by tabs where in listing mode it will render as a dropdown.

Hide or Disable Tabs

Disabled:  if disabled, the tabs will show even if there are no records for that section to display. The tabs will be disabled, rendering them un-clickable.

Hidden: if the tabs are hidden, the tabs will not be visible.

Display Filter Dropdown

Checking this option will render a drop down to switch between lists when the layout mode is set to Listing. Switching this option off, however, will render each list under each other all at the same time.

Redirect If Not Logged In

Selecting this option will enable you to define a page that this control will redirect to if the user is not logged in.
