List out blogs

This article will show you how to insert web controls into a page to display blogs on your website in a list format.

  1. Right click on your blogs folder and select New Content. The Create New Content window will appear.
  2. Click Web Page and then select your standard web page template, click Close.
  3. A new page will be created, give the page a title (eg. blog-list) and click Save.
  4. In the editable area of the page, right click to bring up the contextual menu. Select Insert Webcontrol and make any changes needed to the web control settings. Click Save, then Submit & Approve.

The blog list control displays a simple, comprehensive list of blogs and can be configured to show more or less detail about each blog. For more customisation and details of the other settings within these web controls, you can refer to our common web control settings list.

Enable Blog Name

A checkbox allows you to toggle whether or not a title is displayed above the blog.

Enable Author

Use this checkbox to toggle whether an author name (as set in the CMS user profile) is displayed for each blog post.

Enable Tags

Use this checkbox to toggle whether or not tags are displayed for blogs. You can tag your content using metadata keywords.

Enable Publish Date

Use this checkbox to toggle whether a long format date of publication is displayed for each blog post.
