Customise councillors and committees metadata

If you need to make new custom metadata values available for any of your councillor, committee or meetings records, such as locations or political parties – here is how you do it.

  1. Navigate to the Management console and select Taxonomy Manager from the list, then click to expand Structured Content. You will see a taxonomy node called Councillors.
  2. Click on a Taxonomy Node Name to bring up a menu on the right where you can add a Child Name. You will also see here the number of times a term has been used in the CMS already.
  3. For each new child node you create, click Save Node to make the custom metadata value available to your councillors, committees and meetings pages.
