ZenHub houses documentation to support you if you’re using Contensis Classic. Contensis Classic includes our WYSIWYG and templating features. If you’re working with a newer version of Contensis, is your go-to place to find anything Contensis-related when building with content types.

Create a news article

Once you have created and assigned a news template to the news folder, you can start creating news articles.

  1. Create a new piece of content inside of the News folder.
  2. Select the News-Article template type.
  3. Give the news article a name and click Finish.
  4. You can now edit the news article.

You will immediately notice a difference in the way you edit pages when using a structured content template. Instead of being shown a WYSIWYG editor you will be provided with a different screen altogether. The main difference with this editor is that the news content is entered using a forms based input, you will see that there are fields to select images, checkbox lists to select categories and WYSIWYG editors for basic formatting but all the styling is handled by the template and isn't shown in this edit screen.

At the bottom of the form will be any metadata you assign to the news template. This is useful for categorisation and other applications such as adding in page descriptions for use in listings , the author of the news article and any keywords that might be useful for search engines.

Once all this is done, you can create as many news articles as you like, and create your own structure within the news folder to make managing them easier.
