Hidden fields in the forms builder

Hidden fields can have a number of uses in integrations:

  1. Allow a form developer the ability to embed integration specific information into a form - such as a CRM Category ID.
  2. Give the ability to create a form post with an additional field that can be updated at a later date.

When you insert a hidden field, you are given the option of Field Name and Initial Value. The Field Name is used as a key within the forms NameValueCollection to access the field within Code. This is the key that you would use to update Form Post values in code.

The ability to update the contents of a hidden field has real power when integrating with 3rd parties.
