Assign councillors to committees and set roles

This article explains how to assign a councillor to a committee and set councillor roles in a committee.

Note: You will need the Committee Manager user group permission to be able to add councillors to committees.

Assign a councillor to a committee

  1. Click the Councillors And Committees icon from the top toolbar. The Committee Name screen will appear.
  2. Choose the appropriate committee and click the edit icon in the Edit Councillors column.
  3. The Edit Councillors window that appears displays any councillors that have already been added to the selected committee.
  4. Click the Add Councillor(s) button, a new councillors window will open, displaying councillors that can be added to a committee.
  5. Check the left-side box next to any councillors you wish to add to your committee and click Save.
  6. The Select Councillors window will close, leaving you with a window displaying the councillors that are members of the committee.

Set councillor roles in a committee

  1. Click the Councillors And Committees icon from the top toolbar. The Committee Name screen will appear.
  2. Choose the appropriate committee and click the edit icon in the Edit Councillors column.
  3. The Edit Councillors window that appears displays any councillors that have already been added to the selected committee.
  4. Click the Edit icon on the right side to bring up the Edit Councillor's relationship to Committee window.
  5. You will now be able to Select Committee Position, from a dropdown menu populated with custom values set in the taxonomy. Press Save.
  6. Click Close when you have finished assigning and setting membership details for a committee.
