Contensis application data folder

This page explains what the Contensis application data folder is and where it is stored on your server setup. If you have an issue with Contensis then you will typically find that an error would be logged to the log files directory. In most cases if you raise a Support ticket you will be asked to provide this information.

What is it?

The folder is used to store multiple files used by Contensis including:

  • Install files & SQL Deployments
  • Cached images served by Contensis
  • Log files
  • Temporary files used for search text publishing
  • Contensis Settings files

Where can I find it?

The folder can be in one of two places depending on the operating system you are running.

Microsoft Server 2003

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Contensis

Microsoft Server 2008 and above
